Compressor Assessment Under KHI Expert Supervision
Inspection findings are recorded as measured values. Each clearance, runout and dimensional reading is logged against respective components. Operators receive quantified data on which to base overhaul decisions, and a record that remains available for comparison at the next interval.
Inspection & Diagnostics
The Assessment Sequence
Every machine passes through the same five-stage assessment.
1
Strip-Down and Disassembly
The machine is disassembled into individual components for cleaning & glass bead blasting operations for the removal of heavy carbon deposits, corrosion, dirt, etc.
2
Dimensional and Geometric Measurement
Components are measured for conformance to OEM design values.
3
Non-Destructive Testing
Applied wherever required to detect surface and sub-surface discontinuities.
4
Mechanical & Electrical Runout Check
Runout checks quantify shaft deviation and rotor concentricity. Clearance checks are performed on-site under controlled conditions.
5
Failure Mode and Root Cause Analysis
Observed conditions are interpreted to establish the mode and cause of failure.
6
Condition Report and Recommendation
Findings are compiled into a report with a defined refurbishment recommendation.

Testing Standards Applied to Every Component
Diagnostics are conducted to OEM standards and protocols, in conformance with API and JIS requirements across every procedure and every component examined.
Precision instrumentation is applied to detect deviations that visual inspection alone cannot identify.
